hi eellis, What do you mean by LED lamps - the actual LED hardware on circuit boards or just lamps that have LED's on them. Im a lighting consultant; in my experience there are heaps of companies importing LED products moment however only a few 'lighting specialists' that I would recommend - generally affordable too. These are Concept lighting architecture, Ocean Architectural lighting, Modus lighting & Rexel electrical(auckland branch). If a supplier cant give you photometric data and test reports showing thermal performance you should be wary of the product and their expertise. Give us more details of what you're after - if you're after actual LED hardware concept would be the way to go - have agencies for Osram, VS optoelectronics and a few other (more affordable) asia pacific region sourced product.

beware the snake oil importers and generalised comments. ask for chip manufacturer, drivers, heat sinking, optics and IES files, NZ certification (CE can just mean Chinese Engineering) For luminaires made in NZ and emergency fittings see www.ktl-tech.co.nz. also batch numbers and Lumens/watt.
